Departure from Marrakech and drive towards Azilal, the last town before entering the High Atlas Mountains.

Continue through the Aït Abbas Valley and into the famous “Happy Valley” of Aït Bougmez, passing the village of Agouti where you meet your mule team and trekking crew.

The trek begins with a scenic walk through traditional Amazigh villages built in adobe (rammed earth) architecture, surrounded by cultivated fields and mountain landscapes.

Arrival at Azib N’Ikkis near shepherd shelters.

A steady climb follows a mule path up to the Tizi n’Oughri Pass (3,400m), offering breathtaking panoramic views over the northern face of the M’Goun Massif and surrounding peaks.

From the pass, descend for about 1h30 to reach the Tarkeddit Plateau near the Tassaout springs, a wide high-altitude area used by nomadic shepherds.

Afternoon free to rest and enjoy the peaceful mountain environment.

Very early departure around 5:00 AM for the summit day.

Climb along the long ridge of Ighil M’Goun, following a high mountain route all the way to the summit of Mount M’Goun (4,068m).

From the top, enjoy incredible views over:

• The entire Central High Atlas
• The Dades Valley
• The Siroua and Anti-Atlas ranges in the distance

After the summit, descend via a rocky mountain corridor to reach the Oulilimt valley and its shepherd camps.

Final trekking day through a region still inhabited by nomadic families and their herds.

Ascend to the Tizi n’Aït Imi Pass (2,905m), where you enjoy a final panoramic view over the M’Goun Massif and surrounding valleys.

Descend to a shaded area near the Aït Imi springs for lunch, then say goodbye to your mule team before transferring back to Marrakech.
