Best time for Saghro Treks
October – April
- October–November: Excellent — pleasant temperatures and clear skies.
- December–February: Excellent for trekking, with cool days and cold nights.
- March–April: Excellent — warmer days, spring landscapes, and comfortable trekking conditions.
- May: Possible, but temperatures start getting high.
- June–September: Generally too hot, especially in exposed valleys and lower areas

Discover a different side of Morocco in the Jbel Saghro, a rugged mountain range where dramatic volcanic rock formations, deep valleys and vast desert plateaus meet the traditional world of the Aït Atta nomads.
Our Saghro treks take you far from the busy tourist routes, following ancient trails through one of southern Morocco’s most remote landscapes. Along the way, you’ll camp beneath enormous skies, cross rocky valleys and plateaus, and experience the landscapes around Tadaout n’Tablah, Igli, Jbel Kouaouch and the spectacular rock towers of Bab n’Ali.
The Saghro is also a living cultural landscape. Nomadic and semi-nomadic Aït Atta families have traditionally moved through this region with their herds, and trekking here offers an opportunity to discover a quieter side of Amazigh life.
Unlike the High Atlas, the Saghro is lower, drier and generally suitable for trekking during the cooler months. Autumn, winter and spring are particularly suitable seasons, while summer can be extremely hot
