Departure from Marrakech and drive through the High Atlas Mountains.
Stop in Azilal, the gateway to the Central High Atlas, before crossing the Tizi n’Oughbar pass (2,200m).
Descend into the beautiful Aït Bougmez Valley, also known as the “Happy Valley”, surrounded by green fields and traditional Amazigh villages.
Overnight: Local guesthouse in Agouti
Drive: ~5 hours
Start trekking through farmland, walnut trees, and traditional mud-brick villages such as Ait Ziri and Agouti.
Continue into the Arous Valley, discovering the pastoral lifestyle of shepherd families before reaching Azib N’Ikkis.
Enjoy stunning mountain views and authentic Berber rural life.
Climb steadily to the Tizi n’Tarkedit Pass (3,400m), offering panoramic views of the M’Goun Massif (4,068m).
Descend to the wide Tarkedit Plateau, a high-altitude area used by nomadic shepherds during summer.
After crossing the plateau, ascend through rocky terrain and natural caves to reach the Sdremt Pass.
From the top, enjoy your first breathtaking view over the Tassaout Valley.
Descend through remote paths to reach the first villages and arrive at Imin Ikkis.
Descend through one of Morocco’s most authentic valleys, passing traditional villages such as Ichbbaken, Ait Hamza, and Ait Ali n’Itto.
In the afternoon, climb toward Megdaz, one of the most beautiful villages in Morocco, famous for its unique architecture and UNESCO recognition.
Final descent through walnut forests and traditional farms to reach Fakhour village.
Enjoy a last outdoor lunch prepared by your cook under the trees before driving back to Marrakech.
On the way, visit the impressive natural bridge of Imi n’Ifri.
